Frequently Asked Questions

Q. My child is not potty trained yet.  Can he still attend King Street Pre-school?
A. Yes, many children are not potty trained when they start at the pre-school!

Q. Is there a uniform? 
A. No uniform is required.

Q.  What should I bring each day to the pre-school?
A. Please ensure your child has a healthy snack such as fruit, raisins or crackers (no nut products). Additionally, in summer months, please bring a sunhat and bottle of water.

Q. What if I am late picking up my child? 
A. Please telephone Dana as soon as possible to let her know you are late.  If you are 10 minutes late more than three times in an academic year, then a late fee of £5 for every five minutes will be charged.

Q: How is the Pre-school run? Can I get involved with this?
A: The pre-school is run by a committee of volunteers, mostly parents, who meet every other month to discuss issues such as fundraising, finances, play equipment, and so on. Please contact the current chair of the committee if you are interested

Q: I'd like to know how my child is getting on at the pre-school. Should I make an appointment with Dana?
A: The pre-school encourages an informal approach to parental feedback. Although she might seem busy, Dana welcomes the opportunity to address any issues at drop-off or collection, and will do her best to answer your questions as and when they arise.
